Cansulta is proud to share that we’ve taken our commitment to supporting women in business one step further—by becoming an official Trusted Partner of the Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC).
We’ve long admired the work of CanWCC and were already proud members of the Chamber. Now, as a Trusted Partner, we’re deepening our collaboration with the only national chamber of commerce in Canada exclusively dedicated to advancing the interests of women-identifying and non-binary entrepreneurs.
This is more than a partnership—it’s a shared mission.
A Growing Movement, Still Underserved
While women-owned businesses are one of the fastest-growing segments of Canada’s economy, the structural support available to them has not kept pace. According to the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH), only 16% of Canadian small and medium-sized businesses are women-owned. And when it comes to funding and investment, the disparities are even more striking.
A 2023 report by the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) revealed that only 2.6% of all venture capital dollars went to women-led companies. For Black and Indigenous women founders, that number is even smaller.
Yet research consistently shows that when women-led businesses do receive support, they perform incredibly well. A BCG study found that women-led startups generate 78 cents in revenue for every dollar invested, compared to 31 cents for male-led startups. The data is clear: investment in women entrepreneurs isn’t charity—it’s good business.
Supporting the Builders of a Better Future
CanWCC has been a critical voice in addressing these inequities—advocating for policy changes, equitable funding models, and systemic support that acknowledges and addresses the real barriers faced by women in business. As a Trusted Partner, Cansulta is proud to support these efforts not just in principle, but in practice.
We’ll be working closely with CanWCC to offer exclusive support and resources to its members, and to help amplify the voices and needs of women entrepreneurs across the country. Whether they’re launching startups, scaling small businesses, or transforming their industries, these leaders deserve tailored, expert support—and we’re honoured to help provide it.“ We believe every entrepreneur deserves access to world-class guidance—not just the few with deep networks or big budgets,” said Alexandra Kapelos-Peters, Founder & CEO of Cansulta. “Partnering with CanWCC means we’re able to extend that access to even more women founders who are building impactful, innovative businesses. This isn’t just good for women—it’s good for Canada.”
A Partnership Built on Shared Values
At Cansulta, we believe in a world where access to expertise and support is no longer reserved for the few. Where founders—regardless of gender, background, or resources—can make bold, informed decisions that grow their businesses and drive meaningful change.
We know that building that world takes more than good intentions. It takes collaboration. That’s why this partnership with CanWCC means so much to us. Together, we can do more than offer services—we can create a more inclusive, equitable future for entrepreneurship in Canada.
We’re excited for what lies ahead and look forward to supporting the CanWCC, its leadership, and its incredible community of members in the months and years to come.
