Embracing the Consulting Journey: Introducing Canpus and the C3 Program

As the Founder and CEO of Cansulta, I’ve vetted and collaborated with thousands of consultants, witnessing their journey of creation, growth, and evolution of their practices. Through this experience, I’ve seen many gaps in support, so today, I aim to address one of these gaps with our new online education platform, Canpus, and its flagship offering, the C3 Program

This initiative is deeply meaningful for me as it is also founded in my personal journey and experiences as a consultant. Let me highlight some of the benefits of the new program below, and also share some of my own story and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Like many of you, I was initially drawn to the world of consulting for its numerous benefits. The prospect of being my own boss, choosing my projects, and having the flexibility to manage my own schedule was incredibly appealing. I relished the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experience to help organizations thrive while also staying at the forefront of trends and applying innovative solutions to create results and impact. However, the transition from  stable corporate employment to a full-time consulting career proved more challenging than I had anticipated. 

For years, I juggled side projects and consulting “gigs” alongside my corporate roles. These experiences introduced me to invaluable contacts and provided  significant learning opportunities. But when I finally decided to make the leap and pursue consulting full-time, I faced a host of challenges that I hadn’t fully anticipated. The stability and predictability of a corporate job were gone, replaced by the uncertainties of running my own business.

Leaving the comfort of full-time employment was exhilarating yet extremely stressful.  Despite not having a definitive path in place; I just knew I was ready to leave and wanted to start my own business. Looking back, I realize how much time, money, and stress could have been saved if I had access to a structured program like the one that we are launching.
