In this offering, we’ll work on your tech startup to make it more investable and help you understand the business’s strengths and opportunities from an investor perspective. If you’d like, we can also discuss and improve business strategy for the long-term benefit of the business overall, increasing your returns on the time and money you’ve invested so far. We can also discuss the pros and cons of venture financing and some potential alternatives.
With a winner of various pitching, Think Like an Angel, and Venture Capital Investment competitions, we’ll iteratively refine your pitch and give you good questions to ask that will focus your investment outreach strategy and help you not waste time on poor-fit investors so you can get back to the core tasks of building your business more quickly. With this offering, you can get feedback from someone who’s on your side before you blow limited chances to impress your key target investors.
Scope:
Hourly consulting for any of the services described above. For use of Consultant’s background, credentials, and credibility in active investor outreach, Consultant must view the Client as a good investment opportunity and reasonable fit for the intended audience; this offering is not available until after feedback sessions earlier in the engagement.
Deliverables/Outputs:
Oral and/or written feedback to entrepreneurs, improved pitch & investor presentation materials, messages sent and/or pitches delivered to potential investors (which may leverage Consultant’s contact lists); improved entrepreneurs’ understanding of how venture capital works, how to target investors, what investors are looking for, & what terms may be offered / negotiated.
Timing:
Timing is flexible to fit Client needs. Entrepreneurs should expect the fundraising process to take at least several months, especially if it is a first-time raise.
Assumptions:
Virtual collaboration is assumed; in-person service is available but location-dependent charges apply for travel. Client does not have to be profitable but should have revenues in order to take advantage of the full set of available services. Advice to pre-revenue startups is available through this offering.
Price:
Starts from 300 USD/hr
