Description
In our initial 1-hour session, you’ll describe what you want to accomplish and the progress you’ve made so far in designing how you want to accomplish it. We’ll discuss options for going further and getting your tech project built. In later aspects of this engagement (some of which may be asynchronous), we’ll actually make progress on advancing your product development to or beyond a prototype or MVP (Minimal Viable Product). We’ll discuss, design, (and if you’d like, implement) architectures and cloud deployment strategies that can maximize your scalability.
Scope:
The list here is for the first-hour engagement and continues at the same hourly rate, for a plan of work discussed on initial and later meetings. Consultant will use an agile approach which bounds cost and time but allows scope to vary depending on what obstacles or accelerators are encountered during the work, prioritizing work that adds the greatest business value.
Deliverables/Outputs:
Architectural diagrams, a semi-prioritized feature backlog useful for agile development, recommendations regarding others’ development proposals, and/or working software (developed from nothing or expanding on an existing code base). This may also include CI/CD pipelines (based on GitHub Actions by default) and deployment with a major cloud computing provider. The Client is responsible for charges from the cloud computing provider.
Timing:
The timeline to complete depends on the intended scope, especially for implementation projects; engagements on the scale of weeks to months are anticipated here. We will focus first on features (or fixes) that add the highest value to your business and check in regularly to ensure that you are receiving the desired value in the work and would like to continue with additional development, and stop when the value of the remaining work is below the estimated hours-based cost of that work.
Assumptions:
Virtual engagement is assumed; in-person collaborative sessions are available, but location-dependent charges apply for travel. Consultant does not typically offer fixed pricing for a package of features in part because the true complexity of what is required to make software fit for purpose is usually underspecified at first and only becomes clear after development of initial features/versions is completed.
Price:
Starting from 300 USD/hr
