This document promotes consistency, aids in compliance with legal requirements, and helps prevent misunderstandings by clearly outlining the organization’s standards and values. An employee handbook ultimately supports a positive work environment and aligns employees with the company’s mission and culture.
SCOPE:
- Consultant will discuss with the client to understand business model, current policies, systems and HR processes to be included in the handbook.
- Consultant will develop employee handbook to be reviewed by the client.
All HR functions, policies and procedures can be included such as:
Employment Policies:
- Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) statement
- Anti-discrimination and harassment policies
- Employment classifications (full-time, part-time, temporary)
Workplace Conduct:
- Code of conduct and ethics
- Dress code

Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay periods and methods
- Overtime policies
- Employee benefits (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)
- Leave policies (sick leave, vacation, holidays, family leave)

- Work hours and schedules
- Attendance and punctuality expectations
- Break and meal periods
- WFH
Performance and Development:
- Performance evaluation process
- Promotion and career development opportunities
- Training and development programs
Employee Relations:
- Disciplinary procedures

TIMING:
- This work typically requires 6-8 weeks to complete. A specific timeframe for execution will be agreed between Client and Consultant after purchase.
ASSUMPTIONS
- Includes up to 4 rounds of revisions based on Client feedback
- Client will provide constructive feedback and guidance in reviews
- Client will review & accept Deliverables within 30 days of final submission
- Client will provide relevant source materials & data, licensed, company and brand assets & guidelines, etc.
- Out-of-scope or additional requests will require a separate Engagement
