Her academic credentials include a PhD in Educational Studies, a Masters in Educational Technology, a Certified Training and Development Professional Designation and an Advanced Facilitation Training Certificate, and she has an expansive publication record that includes numerous articles and book chapters on topics of online and digital learning, and presented at over 20 conferences in Canada, the US and in Europe on topics related to digital learning and innovation.

Recent Work

I am a Senior Instructional Designer, currently designing and developing elearning, virtual and in-person training content for Workplace Safety and Prevention Services. I also concurrently developed and taught courses at Queen’s College of Business, Technology and Public Safety in their  Lambton College partnered program, elearning program.

When time permits, I also facilitate and coach facilitators for UN-Partner Soliya’s Virtual Exchange programs and mentor learning professionals within the Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL).

Notable Career History

  • Conducted research on COIL (Virtual Exchange) courses when these courses were new to higher education curricula
  • Wrote which and edited a seminal text on the topic
  • Published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters
  • Presented at over 20 conferences in Canada, the US and in Europe.
