Melanie has over 15 years of experience as a learning professional managing learning programs and teams in different organizations which include a large global professional services firm, not-for-profit organizations, and post-secondary institutions in Canada and the US. Her experience includes selecting, procuring, implementing, administering and optimizing learning technology platforms (including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and web conferencing platforms). She has a proven track record of overseeing successful project planning and execution phases of learning software implementation.
Her academic credentials include a PhD in Educational Studies, a Masters in Educational Technology, a Certified Training and Development Professional Designation and an Advanced Facilitation Training Certificate, and she has an expansive publication record that includes numerous articles and book chapters on topics of online and digital learning, and presented at over 20 conferences in Canada, the US and in Europe on topics related to digital learning and innovation.

I also concurrently developed and taught courses at Queen’s College of Business, Technology and Public Safety in their Lambton College partnered program, elearning program.
When time permits, I also facilitate and coach facilitators for UN-Partner Soliya’s Virtual Exchange programs and mentor learning professionals within the Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL).
