As the Project Manager of the principal consulting firm i.e., PwC for the Asset Liability Management Study – Firm (Package # S-11), Bangladesh Insurance Sector Development Project (BISDP), Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA), under the Financial Institutions Division (FID) of the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh, Vijay was responsible for coordination with internal stakeholders like PwC's Engagement Partners, Actuarial, Advisory, Audit, IT Teams, SMEs from Magnum Management Consulting Limited - Bangladesh, Insurance Institute of India, and Bangladesh stakeholders/clients like IDRA, BISDP, Jiban Bima Corporation (JBC), and Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC) for the timely completion and report preparation and submission of 14 deliverables of the project on (1) Business Plan Analysis and Product, (2) Corporate Governance, (3) Financial Analysis, (4) Asset Liability Management, (5) Risk Analysis, (6) Risk Management, (7) Information Communications Technology, (8) Training on Insurance Sales and Operations, (9) Twinning Arrangements, and (10) Actuarial Valuation for the two state owned life and non-life insurance corporations of Bangladesh. In the course of his work, he had to engage with clients regarding (A) Collection of Data, (B) Desk Review of Company/Business Information available in the public domain, (C) Interviews and Meetings with Stakeholders including JBC, BISDP, and IDRA, (D) Development of Questionnaires, (E) Having Draft Reports on Deliverables Reviewed by SMEs, and, (F) Participating in Deliverable Review Workshops and Meetings. He was also responsible for other Managerial activities for the Project like Invoicing, Collection of Receivables, and Settlement of Payables. Amongst all his skills, what drew my attention most are his excellent interpersonal relationship trait, his amiable nature, prompt and timebound response to communications, and excellent comprehension of the expectations of multiple clients i.e., IDRA, BISDP, JBC, and SBC - all in a foreign land (Bangladesh) and also the funding organization (World Bank) and principal stakeholder i.e., FID of the MoF of Bangladesh. He has acquire the skills and has potential to grow into an excellent business leader.
